My Story

A person's hand holding a collection of red and beige rocks outdoors in a forested area with trees and rocky terrain in the background.

Centennial Gems was born from a lifelong fascination with minerals and a dream of coming to Colorado to experience them firsthand.

Hiker standing in a mountainous landscape with a backpack, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and plaid shirt, observing the scenery of ridges, rocky hills, and autumn trees under a partly cloudy sky.

Long before it became a business, collecting was about discovery — learning crystal forms, studying localities, and spending time in the field searching for something extraordinary hidden in the ground. Colorado, with its rich geologic history and world-class mineral localities, represented the heart of that dream.

What began as hands-on collecting and exploration gradually evolved into something more. Through time in the field, relationships with miners and collectors, and years spent learning how to evaluate quality, rarity, and provenance, Centennial Gems was formed to share that passion with others.

Today, Centennial Gems curates natural gemstones and mineral specimens from both classic American localities and select international sources. Each piece is chosen for its character, quality, and authenticity — whether it’s a specimen collected in the Rockies or sourced through trusted global connections.

Our goal is simple: to offer thoughtfully selected minerals with accurate information, transparent sourcing, and an appreciation for the geology behind every piece.
